Ampthill Orchestra commissioned us to produce a poster for their November concert. Our previous poster commission was for a family friendly event, this was a more adult event, but we managed to tie in the poster designs to provide a brand identity and consistency. We provided the poster, but also created social media friendly versions for advertising the event.
The Mini Music Makers brand identity was a project from Inspiring Music. A new magical, musical experience for children aged 2 -4 years in Dunstable.
We created a fun but professional brand image that includes age appropriate graphics and scope to be applied to various resources and marketing materials. The brand uses flat graphics to demonstrate some of the activities, with friendly monster characters to use within materials.
Something for Summer was an event run by Inspiring Music and Central Bedfordshire Council. Traybake Studio was asked to develop a brand identity for the event as well as to film and photograph the event.
The ‘Something for Summer’ brand is a fun, summer looking identity. It uses a customised ‘cut out’ typography, used alongside the Inspiring music typography. The colour scheme brings in the colours of Inspiring Music and Central Bedfordshire brands. The logo has been designed to work in full colour, 2 colour and black & white. Summer graphical elements have been included within the logo letters. These are also available separately as individual graphics and used in custom backgrounds. The logo has been designed in a way that it can be adapted and animated in future versions. It also offers scope to be used in a range of contexts with simplified versions created without graphical elements, which would be more suitable when printed small, such as pens or footers.
The festival in 2019 was the schools first festival and incorporated a range of music acts and stalls. The 2020 event was an online event with recorded performances from students. The 2022 event had more of a well being theme, looking at supporting the students, parents and the community.
Rather than adaption from previous years logos, a new logo was developed to emphasize the calm and coming together of the community after a difficult period of time with lockdowns.
The logo gives a fun 60’s/70’s feel that is bold and fun, and also works well on advertising and merchandise of different sizes. The choice of brand colours were chosen for their ability to stand out, feel calming and links with the school brand colours. The individual colours were used in later marketing to identify the themes of the event.
Themed area logos were developed as well as a range of marketing materials and promotional products.
We were asked to create a logo for the lovely cottage in Merriot.
Moonrakers at Merriott is a clean and bespoke logo. The image demonstrates immediately the size and style of the cottage, conveying a building style which is synonymous with British cottages. The standalone building and main font conveys the independent nature of the property as opposed to a chain, although this could be utilised for a series of properties if the portfolio were to expand. The inclusion of the hand drawn image of the cottage reinforces the personal touches and cosiness of the business. The use of same colours throughout and the image along with the typeface conveys a clean and professional image. The font of the main text is written in a bespoke typeface, letters which appear twice (e.g the two o’s and the two r’s) are unique to each other, reinforcing the professional image of the company, as opposed to using a standard font or logo generator. The logo affords the possibility to separate the image from the text according to where it may be used, for example smaller printing (e.g. on a pen, or stitching on to towels) may just require the text. The stylised text is charming and appears handwritten, but simultaneously is clear without appearing too corporate.
THE MEFFS are a new punk band based in Essex. They approached us to design a logo that can be used on promotional materials and advertising.
Our initial brief was to develop a logo that embraces the DIY hand drawn style associated historically with punk bands, but still giving a more modern feel.
The typography is bespoke and fully scalable to whatever size is required. The logo is sufficiently versatile so to work effectively on social media, a website and merchandise.
All logo elements were provided separately to allow for suitable versions in different scenarios.
The initial design was hand sketched and imported into Adobe Illustrator. The final logo is a full vector image and provided in a range of formats to be used on merchandise of different sizes.
As with all of our clients, a full style guide document and logo pack is provided to give guidance to commercial publishers on colours and formatting. We also provide a range of rendered images of how the logo would appear in situ like websites, social media, t shirts and badges.
